New Site!

accidentallyadulting.com

Hi everyone!! I just want to say thank you all again for following my blog, commenting, and liking! This is my second full month of blogging and I’ve been loving it so much!

At the beginning of this month I set an end of the month goal of 50 followers. I have gained more than double that! Which for me is amazing! I never thought that it would grow so quickly.

With this rapid growth I’ve decided to move this blog to a self hosted site (a process I will write a post about). I am currently working on the new site and it will be up by 2016. The new site (accidentallyadulting.com) will feature all of the current posts, plus a few new ones.

For the most part it will look exactly the same as this. The only difference is it will be self hosted. I will notify you guys here once it is live!!

I hope you all have a very merry Christmas and a great new year!!

How To Nail Your In Person Interview

How To

I’m not about giving arbitrary advice. Every “How-To” I post, any advice I give, comes from personal experience. This “series” started with my blog post “How To Deal With A Horrible Boss“, which at the time I was dealing with. I was so unhappy with my boss I decided to seek new employment. Shortly thereafter, I wrote “How To Nail You Next Phone Interview“. That was just days after I nailed my own phone interview and was called back for an in person interview.

I now bring you How To Nail Your In Person Interview. I’m excited to say that I’ve landed a great position, with a great company, and I no longer have to deal with a Horrible Boss.

I’m even prouder to be able to say that I’ve been offered every job I’ve ever interviewed for in person (I don’t have that track record with phone interviews lol).

How do I do it?

DIY Kelly Green Desk !

KELLY

This is a DIY that was inspired by a few interior design boards on Pinterest. I found this desk at the Salvation Army for only $14.99, and then I got a student discount which brought the price down to $11.95. This was an absolute steal.

The desk is sturdy, made with really nice wood, and (as you’ll soon see) the hardware is pretty cool. It just needed a little elbow grease.

Below is a before and after:

Big City on a Small Budget !

Big City.png

Have you ever dreamed of living in a big city? Well it is not cheap. I never intended or dreamed of living in a city. But I was accepted to a law school here in Boston, and I made the (premature) decision to make this city my home for three years (and now forever thanks to my boyfriend. Ugh, love). However, I did not conduct the proper research and I paid for that mistake. I paid A LOT. Here are a few money saving tips for those of you who currently live in, or plan on moving to a new city.
